What Were You Wearing Reception Flyer

For the second time, the Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education, or CARE, has brought the "What Were You Wearing?" survivor art installation to Kansas State University's Chapman Gallery to provide a tangible response to one of our culture's most pervasive rape myths.

From 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, CARE invites the K-State and Manhattan community to visit the gallery in 116 Willard Hall, enjoy light refreshments, and reflect over outfits that have been created from the stories of K-State and Manhattan survivors who have experienced sexual violence.

The "What Were You Wearing?" survivor art installation originated at the University of Arkansas in 2013. Created by Jen Brockman and Mary Wyandt-Hiebert, the project was inspired by Mary Simmerling's poem, "What I Was Wearing."
