Human Capital Services adds two new members to its team
Human Capital Services welcomes a new director of operations and an employee relations and engagement specialist to its team.
David Brown, director of operations, manages and provides leadership to the resource center and payroll activities of the unit.
Brown has widespread experience and knowledge serving a leadership role in human resources and payroll over the past 14 years. He has served as the payroll, compliance and HRIS manager for a major U.S. company where he was responsible for the payroll administration, internal controls and information flow between HR, payroll and departments within the organization.
"I am excited about this new opportunity, working in and with the Human Capital Services team, its many stakeholders and to be a part of the K-State family," Brown said.
Brown earned his bachelor's degree in business management from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
LaVerne Williamson, employee relations and engagement specialist, provides guidance and coaching on dispute/conflict resolution, performance issues, and behavior and conduct issues for both employees and/or supervisors with an emphasis on identifying solution-focused outcomes.
She will be instrumental in developing and presenting training opportunities to enhance engagement, employee morale, and relevant employee relations policies and procedures.
Williamson has had extensive on-the-job experience with conflict resolution and eagerly welcomes the opportunity to empower employees and supervisors amidst challenges.
Williamson is a K-State graduate, earning both her bachelor's degree in business administration and master's degree in public administration with a concentration in personnel management.
Both Brown and Williamson's leadership and expertise will continue to strengthen services provided to the campus community.
