Submitted by Janae Jones

Service Interruption notification

Contact person: Jack Carlson, 785-532-1722

Service to be interrupted: Electrical power

Building involved: Burt Hall

Interruption date: Tuesday, Feb. 12

Time: 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What does this affect: Burt Hall attic lights, rooms 201, 210b, 307, 308, air handling units, third-floor freezer, chilled water pumps and second-floor window A/C units. Burt Hall is an old building and listed above are the affected rooms as written on the panel directory however, be aware there may be other items and rooms affected that were added and not listed on the panel directory. This outage will affect anything using electricity such as computers, servers, lighting, heating, air conditioning and more.

Reason for the interruption: Replace antiquated, unsafe, electrical panel; this requires a partial building shutdown outage to migrate the existing cables into the new electrical panel.
