Former graduate students John P. Steele, Disha D. Rupayana, Maura J. Mills, Michael R. Smith and Andrew Wefald, along with Ronald G. Downey, professor, published "Relative Importance and Utility of Positive Worker States: A Review and Empirical Examination" in the Journal of Psychology: Interdisciplinary and Applied.

Eugene Vasserman, assistant professor of computing and information sciences, and Gary Brase, associate professor of psychology were awarded a National Science Foundation grant, effective Sept. 1, for $148,825 on education-optional security usability on the Internet.

Adrienne L. Struble, graduate; Taylor W. Wadian, graduate student; Tammy L. Sonnentag, graduate student; Mark A. Barnett, professor; and Jennifer L. Livengood, graduate student,  published "An investigation of the characteristics, experiences and attitudes of Court Appointed Special Advocate, or CASA, volunteers" in the Journal of Psychological Inquiry.
