Chester E. Peters Lecture for Student Affairs

The 2018 Chester E. Peters Lecture Series presents Sonja Ardoin as this year's featured speaker. Ardoin will present "The Relationship Between Rurality, Social Class Identity, and College Access and Affordability" at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, in Forum Hall in the K-State Student Union.

The lecture is open to the public and free of charge. Any recording of this event is prohibited. If you are unable to attend in person, you can access the livestream using the username, chetpeters, and password, ardoin2018.

Ardoin has served as clinical assistant professor and program director for higher education administration at Boston University since 2015 and has worked in higher education since 2004. She is the author of two refereed books and seven book/monograph chapters and is the co-author of one book and one book chapter. She has made more than 85 national conference and professional presentations. She is the author of the recently released book, "College Aspirations and Access in Working-Class Rural Communities: The Mixed Signals, Challenges, and New Language First-Generation Students Encounter."
