Recent presentations by office of assessment faculty and staff

Fred Burrack, director, and Steven Hawks, assistant director of the office of assessment, were invited presenters at the Higher Learning Commission’s Academy for Assessment of Student Learning Results Forum, June 6-8, in St. Charles, Ill. Their presentation focused on Kansas State University’s assessment academy experience and was titled, "The Road is Never Straight: Making the Most of Your Academy Experience." The results forum concluded K-State’s four-year commitment to the assessment academy.
Hawks also presented at the 2012 Association for Institutional Research annual forum in New Orleans on June 5. His presentation, "Meeting the Demands: Building a Comprehensive First-Year Program," focused on the use of multiple assessment measures to highlight the successes of K-State First.
