Submitted by Human Capital Services-Learning and Development

"Evaluating USS Employees: From Planning Through Rating Performance, WTD208," will be offered from 1:30-4 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, in Room 4061 of the Business Administration Building.

This is a new training offered to supervisors of university support staff employees by Human Capital Services-Employee Relations.

This session is an opportunity for supervisors of university support staff employees to work through a real-life scenario of writing SMART goals and rating performance based on those goals. The session also will cover the entire process and timeline for university support staff performance reviews. Participants also will learn how to address underperforming employees.

Participants should bring the position description of an employee they supervise in order to develop SMART goals for that employee.

As a result of this session, participants will:

  • Understand the SMART goal system.
  • Apply SMART goals to real-time employee evaluations.
  • Address under-performing employees.
  • Review and understand performance evaluating process and timeline.

To register for this session, you can either sign up through HRIS self-service or send an email to Samantha Roberts at learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, employee ID and the course title.
