Director of assessment to conduct workshops at Columbia University

Submitted by Frederick Burrack

Frederick Burrack, director of the Office of Assessment, has been invited to conduct a three-day assessment workshop April 5-7 at Teachers College, Columbia University.

The workshops were conceived and coordinated by Kelly Parkes of Teachers College and Sasha Gribovskaya of the university's Office of Assessment. The sessions will focus on the assessment processes and technologies used at Kansas State University to guide future direction of their assessment processes.

Parkes also is the co-chair with Burrack of the national pilot for the Model Cornerstone Assessments aligned with the new National Standards for Music Education. This four-year project will collimate in a book published by Roman Littlefield in fall 2017.
