Fire extinguisher training offerings for February-March

Submitted by Human Capital Services-Learning and Development

The environmental health and safety department suggests annual Fire Extinguisher Training, WTD159, for all university employees. This training will be offered several times in the next few months.

Prior to attending this training session, you must complete a fire extinguisher online training course. Upon completion of the online course, you will receive a certificate. Please sign and date the printed certificate and bring it with you to the classroom training session.

There is no charge to participants, but registration is necessary to ensure adequate seating and materials. Maximum attendance for each session is 15. The hands-on training with the extinguisher is outdoors, so please dress accordingly.

All fire extinguisher training sessions are from 9-10 a.m. in 11 Edwards Hall. Session dates are Feb. 21, March 4 and March 21.

To register for this session, you can either sign up through HRIS self-service or send an email to Samantha Roberts at learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, employee ID and the course title.
