Submitted by Human Capital Services - Benefits

HealthQuest is a wellness program offered by the state of Kansas to reduce the State Employee Health Plan premium and help employees obtain a healthier lifestyle. The program offers free biometric screenings, tobacco cessation assistance, lifestyle coaching and wellness challenges that are fun and interactive relating to specific health behaviors.

Biometric screenings are being offered from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17-18 in 138 Peters Recreation Center.

To sign up for a free biometric screening appointment, go to KansasHealthQuest.com and sign in. Navigate to "Screening Appointment" in the Bulletin Board on the right side of the page. You may then choose the city, location, date and time of the screening you would like to attend.

These screenings are one of three ways to get your biometric information, with the other two choices: a well checkup with your physician, or an at-home test, each worth five credits. Completion of the online Health Assessment Questionnaire also is required to receive the 2017 discount and is worth five credits. A total of 30 credits is needed by Nov. 15 to receive the discounted premium for plan year 2017. Biometric screening results, the online Health Assessment Questionnaire and any additional credits you earn throughout this period must be manually entered into the portal at KansasHealthQuest.com.
