Mathematics Colloquium Lecture May 5
Cam Stewart, University of Waterloo, will present "Arithmetic and Transcendence" as part of the Mathematics Department Colloquium Lecture series at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, in 102 Cardwell Hall.
The abstract for the lecture is: Techniques developed for transcendental number theory have had many surprising applications in the study of purely arithmetic questions. The aim of our talk will be to discuss this phenomenon.
