Magazine calls Glasscock a Kansan to know
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Ingram's magazine has named Kent Glassock, director of the Kansas State University Institute for Commercialization, or KSU-IC, as one of its "50 Kansans You Should Know" for 2012.
The eclectic group of individuals selected for the magazine's list come from all walks of life, including chief executives of billion-dollar organizations, small business owners, entrepreneurs, teachers, TV anchors and the corn-shucking champion of Kansas.
Glasscock has served as president of the KSU-IC since 2003. The institute helps monetize intellectual property developed at K-State, Wichita State University and MRIGlobal in the international marketplace.
In the article, Glasscock talks about what makes Kansans so special. He also discusses the leadership lessons he learned from his 16 years in public office, including 12 years in the Kansas House of Representatives, and as chairman and CEO of his family business, Kansas Lumber Homestore.
