Kemper Gallery exhibition features Yellowstone photos taken by K-State student

Submitted by Audrey Taggart-Kagdis

Experience the natural beauty of one of America's most treasured preserved areas through K-State student Heather Scott's "One Square Inch," featuring photographs of Yellowstone National Park in celebration of Earth Day.

Sponsored by the Union Program Council, the exhibit features photos that are a product of natural light, a simple piece of equipment and a probing eye for natural beauty. All of the photographs were taken on a Nikon D60 with a standard 18-55 mm lens.

Scott's exhibit runs through May 6 in the William T. Kemper Art Gallery. The proceeds from purchased artwork will be donated to the Nature Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that works in 30 countries, including the U.S. and all 50 states, to protect and preserve the land and wildlife.

Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. On the first floor of the K-State Student Union, the Kemper Gallery is free and open to the public. Visit Union Program Council for a complete list of the council's activities or call 785-532-6571.
