Five-Year Capital Projects
The Campus Planning & Facilities Management Department monitors Capital Improvement and Repair & Rehabilitation projects across the Manhattan, Salina and Olathe campuses, as well as all University Extension and Research Center sites throughout Kansas.
Ag Initiative Projects:
K-State is establishing innovation centers designed to facilitate collaboration among university scientists and active participants in agriculture and related industries. These centers will attract some of the brightest minds from the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Health and Human Sciences and Veterinary Medicine. Manhattan Campus Projects:
Boyd Hall, Putnam Hall and Van Zile Hall, collectively referred to as the Strong Complex, are undergoing renovations to accommodate the University Honors Program. The goal is to establish a diverse living-learning community that focuses on leadership, engagement and service, where high-achieving students are inspired and supported to thrive both academically and personally. Salina Campus Projects:
- K-State is partnering with Pure Imagination Labs to create a one-of-a-kind facility that will house world-class education, research and innovation in the evolving industry of spatial computing. The center, known as K-AIRES, will utilize immersive environments to offer students unparalleled learning and hands-on experiences not found at any other university. - K-State has been awarded a federal grant to construct a $28 million facility that will act as an educational hub for various programs at K-State Salina. Learn more about the Aerospace Education Hub.
Master Plan
The Campus Master Plan outlines a strategy for transforming the physical spaces within our K-State community to meet the needs of a growing university. This project will guide the development of the Manhattan, Salina and Olathe campuses, establishing both short-term and long-term objectives.
