Craig WestonCraig Weston joined the faculty of Kansas State University in 2002, after previous positions at Western Illinois University, Iowa State University, and the University of Washington.

He holds degrees from Central Michigan University (B.M.) and the University of Washington (M.M., D.M.A.). He has received grants, awards, and commissions from groups including ASCAP, the Cincinnati Symphony, the Norwalk (Connecticut) Symphony, the Seattle Arts Commission, the University of Washington, the Iowa Music Teachers Association, the Kansas Music Teachers Association, the American Composers Forum, the Kansas Arts Commission, the Bradley University New Music Ensemble, the Hobart and William Smith Colleges and the University of Central Missouri Wind Ensemble.

In the fall of 2008, he served as National Park Service artist-in-residence at North Cascades National Park. His chamber, orchestral, and electronic music has been widely performed around the country, and his prose writings have been published in several music journals. His music can be heard on CD on the Capstone label.
