HOW TO: Generate a description for a presentation

Each Mediasite presentation offers a field where you can write a brief description of the presentation's content. A well-crafted description of the presentation helps viewers quickly understand the purpose and value of the Mediasite video, often providing context, setting expectations for learning outcomes, and improving discoverability within the searchable Mediasite channels.

Mediasite includes a generative artificial intelligence (AI) tool to help you create a video presentation description.

Prerequisite: closed captions

The AI tool generates a summary from a presentation's captions. Therefore, you should ensure captions for the presentation exist before using the tool and that they have been edited for accuracy, as accurate captions will result in an accurate summary.

The Captions tile appears below the presentation title in My Mediasite indicating captions are present
