Adulting 101: Car Maintenance

Submitted by Megan Katt

WellCAT Ambassadors, a departmental student organization under the leadership of Lafene Health Center, will host Adulting 101 this semester, a series of eight interactive workshops focused on basic life skills.

The first workshop's topic is Car Maintenance and will be facilitated by Manhattan Area Technical College's automotive technology program students. From 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the Lafene Health Center parking lot, students are invited to participate in a hands-on workshop and gain experience in changing a tire, checking fluid levels and jump-starting a car.

Random participants at each workshop will be given a free T-shirts. Students who attend at least six of the eight workshops will be entered into a drawing for one of two gift certificates for a free massage at Lafene Health Center or one of two gift certificates for a free one-hour lane rental for up to six people at Axe to Grind.
