Below are the K-State First specific programmatic learning outcomes. You can copy and paste the example below into your syllabus, or if you'd like to add more specifics related to the content of your course, you can do so as well.

What we're learning as a K-State First CAT Community or First-Year Seminar:
This course is unique in that it is dedicated to first-year student success. As part of that, the learning outcomes embedded throughout all of our work are below:
- Think Critically: engage in critical analysis, expand close-reading skills, and develop effective interpretations of the works
- Communicate Effectively: Express your own understandings of course content in respectful dialogue with others with engagement, imagination, and self-reflection
- Build Community: Interact effectively with faculty and peers both inside and outside of the classroom
- Apply Learning: Use the skills and knowledge learned in the class to solve new problems, answer questions, identify areas for further investigation, and collaboratively create
