Pre-Placement by Standardized Test Scores
Incoming students who have submitted iBT (TOEFL) or IELTS scores may be placed into ELP classes based on their iBT TOEFL or IELTS scores without taking the EPT if they have the minimum scores listed below. Students without iBT TOEFL or IELTS scores will take the English Proficiency Test (EPT) upon arrival.
Students can provide official documentation of English proficiency until 12:00 p.m. (noon) of the last day of enrollment (usually a Friday) before the first day of classes. After this time, scores from the WildCAT/EPT and previous ELP classes will determine students’ placement for the current semester.
