2024 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Nominations
Nov. 28, 2023 - The Career Center is excited to announce the opening of the 2024 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year nomination form. We are now accepting applications for student employees to be recognized for their work and dedication. Students who are on the student employee payroll and serves in an official student employee position are eligible for nominations. GRA, GTA and GA student positions are not eligible for this award. The winning student will be selected based on their reliability, quality of work, initiative, professionalism and defining story.
Students are invited to the Virtual Internship Fair
Oct. 24, 2023 - K-State students from all majors are invited to the Virtual Internship Fair on Oct. 25th, 2023. The virtual fair will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. through handshake. Students are encouraged to register before the event and set up individual time slots to speak with employers. The Career Center is co-hosting this Virtual Internship Fair with five other regent institutions.
The Career Center invites students to the Wildlife & Natural Resources Career Meet-Up
Oct. 16, 2023 – The K-State Career Center will host the Wildlife & Natural Resources Career Meet-Up this year in the Berney Family Welcome Center. This event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023. Any student interested in connecting with employers in the wildlife and natural resources fields are encouraged to attend.
Students are Invited to the Professional and Graduate School Fair this Week
Oct. 10- The Professional and Graduate School Fair provides an opportunity for students to prepare for the next step in their careers, leading to graduate and professional degrees. The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the K-State Student Union Courtyard & 1st Floor Concourse. At the event, you will be able to get information from over 40 educational programs and opportunities provided through a variety of schools. Students and alumni are encouraged to attend, regardless of major or graduation year!
Students are invited to the All-University Career Fair
Sept. 18, 2023- The Career Center invites students from all majors to attend the All-University Career Fair held on Sept. 19, 20, and 21. All three days will be held at Bramlage Coliseum from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This multi-industry career fair gives students the opportunity to engage with recruiters and organizations hiring for full-time and part-time jobs and internships.
New Hires with the Career Center
September 5, 2023 — The Career Center is pleased to announce recent hires and responsibility changes within the department. New to the team are Christopher Anderson, Paulicia Bender and Tiffany Coetzee. Christopher and Paulicia have assumed roles as Assistant Directors. Christopher serves as the liaison to the College of Engineering. Paulicia will serve as liaison to the College of Architecture, Planning and Design and provide expanded career advising support for students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Tiffany will serve as a career advisor and liaison to the College of Education.
Obtain Free Business Clothing at the Career Closet Pop-Up
September 1, 2023 - The Career Closet has been an essential staple at the Career Center. K-State students can obtain free business attire from a wide selection of clothing donated by Kansas State Faculty, staff, and alumni as well as other professionals. The Career Closet is currently located at the Career Center. This event will bring clothing from the Career Closet to students.
Students are invited to Ready-Set-Support for job opportunities
September 1, 2023 - The Career Center is collaborating with the K-State College of Education to host Ready-Set-Support on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023. Students will have the opportunity to meet with area school districts to learn about becoming a substitute teacher, bus driver, and much more. This event will be held in the K-State Student Union courtyard from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

August 21, 2023 - The K-State Career Center team is excited to help students in their career journeys this year! Drop by the Career Center and activate your Handshake account to pick up a FREE t-shirt. T-shirts will be given away while supplies last from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, August 21 through Friday, August 25 at the Berney Family Welcome Center, 705 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Look for the "castle" between the parking garage and the Memorial Stadium playing field.
Help Students Get Career Ready with the All-University Career Fair
August 18, 2023 - With over 400 currently registered employers, K-State’s All-University Career Fair is a valuable opportunity for students to start their career journey and connect with jobs and internships for all majors. This year’s career fair is September 19, 20 and 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bramlage Coliseum.
Attend the 2023 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Awards
April 10, 2023 - The Career Center is excited to invite the campus community to join us in honoring this years’ outstanding student employees. The 2023 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Awards Ceremony will recognize nominees, along with special recognition of our five finalists. The five finalists being recognized are Anika Roy, Avery Wischropp, Gavin Beesley, Hieu Nguyen and Tyler Spencer.
Attend Big 12 Virtual Career Fair
March 21, 2023 - We are excited for K-State students and alumni to participate in the Big 12 Virtual Career Fair again. Facilitated via the CareerEco platform, the over 140 registered employers represent a wide range of industries and opportunities. Register in advance and review more details about the participating employers or virtually drop by the day of the event any time between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central on Wednesday, March 22.
Students are invited to the Business Career Fair
March 8, 2023 - This year’s business career fair will be hosted at the K-State Student Union Ballroom. Employers will connect with students from 12-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2023. We encourage any student who is interested in the business industry to attend. Students are also encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume, dress professionally, and research companies of interest.
Students invited to EDCAT Interviews
March 6, 2023- We are excited to offer an opportunity for Kansas School Districts to join us for in-person EDCAT interviews, 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, in the Kansas State University Alumni Center Ballroom. The second part of interviews will be virtual, 2:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, on the CareerEco website. Students from all majors are encouraged to learn about job opportunities in various school districts.

Feb. 29, 2023 - The Career Center invites students to attend the Media and Communications Career Meet-Up from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2. This in-person event will take place at the Berney Family Welcome Center. Students aren’t required to register before the event and all majors are welcome. Students can find more details about the event in Handshake and view the list of employers who will attend.

Feb. 23, 2023 - The Career Center invites students from all majors to attend the 2023 Design Expo from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24. This in-person event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn and Convention Center Ballroom. When students arrive, they will check-in at the student registration table. We encourage students to review the event details in Handshake to see which employers will be attending.
Hospitality Career Meet-Up
Feb. 23, 2023- The Career Center invites students to attend the Hospitality Career Meet-Up from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23. This event will take place at the Berney Family Welcome Center. There is no registration needed for students and all majors are welcome. Students can visit the Career Center before the event to edit their resume and obtain free business professional clothing from the Career Closet.
Engineering Career Fair
Feb. 13, 2023 - This year's Engineering Career Fair will be held from 12-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14 and Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the Engineering Complex. The two day career fair will host a record number of 150 engineering companies looking for co-op, interns, and full-time employees.

Jan. 25, 2023 - Kansas State University students are excelling in employment and continuing education after graduation. According to the latest post-graduation report from Kansas State University for graduates in the 2021-2022 school year, 97% are employed or furthering their education.
