Students invited to EDCAT Interviews

March 6, 2023- We are excited to offer an opportunity for Kansas School Districts to join us for in-person EDCAT interviews, 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, in the Kansas State University Alumni Center Ballroom. The second part of interviews will be virtual, 2:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, on the CareerEco website. Students from all majors are encouraged to learn about job opportunities in various school districts.

“We know today’s schools need excellent teachers, and we are committed to helping those communities develop teachers from within their communities” said Dr. Todd Goodson, Professor and Chair of Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Todd Goodson and Dr. Elieen Wertzberger will this year's keynote speakers at the luncheon following the in-person event starting at 1:00 p.m., in the Alumni Center Ballroom. They will speak more about “Helping Communities Identify and Support Local Candidates for Teaching Positions”.

Students are encouraged to attend this event to connect with multiple school districts. “Representatives from more than 50 school districts across Kansas are participating in the EDCATS In-Person Interview Day Monday, March 6 at the Alumni Center. The Interview Day is open to all recent and May 2023 graduates” said Patrice Scott.

Future teachers are encouraged to register and bring resumes along with materials they believe showcase their talents as an educator. The event is co-sponsored by the College of Education and Career Center.
