Winner Announced for the 2022 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year
April 22, 2022 — The K-State Career Center wishes to congratulate Landis Beverly, kitchen assistant at Lacy’s in Hospitality Management in the College of Health and Human Sciences, on his selection as winner of the Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Award.
Attend the 2022 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Awards Ceremony
April 7, 2022 – The Career Center invites the K-State community to the 2022 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year Awards Ceremony. This event honors the outstanding student employees who have been nominated by their department. This year’s ceremony will be held at the K-State Alumni Center on Wednesday, April 13 at 4:00. It will also be livestreamed via YouTube. The link for the livestream can be found on the Career Center webpage.
Students are invited to attend the Business Career Fair
Mar. 4, 2022 — The Career Center invites students to attend the Business Career Fair from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 9, 2022. This event will be hosted in-person in the K-State Student Union Ballroom. All majors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Students are invited to attend the 2022 Kansas State Design Expo
March 2, 2022 — The Career Center invites students to attend the 2022 Kansas State Design Expo from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 4. This event will be hosted in-person at the Hilton Garden Inn and Convention Center Ballroom. Students will check-in at the event at the student registration table. Students are encouraged to review the event details in Handshake to see which employers will be attending. All majors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Students are invited to attend the Social Services Career Meet-Up
Feb. 24, 2022 — The Career Center invites students to attend the Social Services Career Meet-Up from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 1. This event will take place both in-person at the Berney Family Welcome Center and virtually through the Zoom platform. Employers who attend virtually will only be at the meet-up from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Any student interested in connecting with employers online are encouraged to log onto Zoom early to maximize the time spent.
Students are invited to Ready – Set – Sub event
Feb. 17, 2022 — The Career Center and the K-State College of Education invites students to attend the Ready – Set – Sub event on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022. Through this event, students will meet with area school districts and learn how to become a substitute teacher. This event will be held in the K-State Student Union from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Union Bluemont room.
Students are invited to the Media and Communications Career Meet-Up
Feb. 17, 2022 — The Career Center invites students to attend the Media and Communications Career Meet-Up from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24. This event will take place both in-person at the Berney Family Welcome Center and virtually through the Remo platform. There is no registration needed and all majors are welcome. Students can find more details on the Remo platform and how to use it through the Career Meet-Up webpage.

New roles with the Career Center Team
February 14, 2022 — The Career Center is pleased to announce recent hires and responsibility changes within the department. Earlier this Spring 2022 semester, Chloe Wurst and Taylor Gnagi joined the team. Chloe has assumed the role of Assistant Director and serves as the liaison to undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Taylor joined the team as a Coordinator of Career Exploration and serves as the liaison to the College of Architecture, Planning and Design.
Students are invited to attend the Engineering Career Fair
February 9, 2022 — The Career Center invites students to attend the Engineering Career Fair from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both Tuesday, February 15th, and Wednesday February 16th, 2022. This event will be hosted in-person at the K-State Engineering Complex. Student registration will be located at the main entrances of the Engineering Complex each day. All majors are welcome and encouraged to attend.

February 3, 2022 — The Career Center invites students to attend the Agri-Industry Career Meet-Up from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10. This event will take place in-person at the Berney Family Welcome Center. There is no registration needed and all majors are welcome.
Students are Invited to the Fashion Career Meet-Up
January 31, 2022 - The Career Center invites students to attend the Fashion Career Meet-Up from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4. This event will be held virtually through the Remo platform. There is no registration needed and all majors are welcome.

Student Employee of the Year Nominations
December 2, 2021 - Nominations for the 2022 Kyle Pelton Student Employee of the Year are now being accepted. Any student who is on the student employee payroll, and serves in an official student employee position, is eligible.
