Bachelor's Degree in Finance

B.S. in finance

Financial analysis is an integral part of all decisions made by businesses, individuals and families. Finance majors at K-State learn the principles, concepts and tools essential to financial decision-making. Together with the accounting, economics, management and other quantitative techniques, you will be well prepared for a career in finance.

The K-State difference

The College of Business Administration is among an elite 10 percent of schools and colleges in the nation to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business for all its business and accounting programs.

Join the Student Finance Association to network with career professionals, participate in investing decisions with a fixed income fund, and discuss career goals with finance alumni. You will have opportunities to take trips to cities such as New York, Boston, and Dallas and meet with industry professionals.

Finance students have access to a real-money student investment portfolio worth more than $1.5 million, and a financial lab equipped with 12 Bloomberg terminals and 47 Thomson Reuters Eikon to prepare you for careers in finance.

What courses will I take?

K-State's finance program offers four specializations:

  • Financial analyst
    Intensive quantitative and qualitative training to prepare you for investment banking careers.
  • Financial management
    You will develop skills in analysis, evaluation and reporting of financial information.
  • Financial controllership
    For students interested in financial management who want additional emphasis in accounting.
  • Financial services
    You will develop a broad knowledge of financial markets, institutions and services.
