UFM K-6 after-school program: Volunteers needed

Submitted by Erin Ford

UFM Community Learning Center is looking for volunteer tutors that are interested in helping elementary school youth in the community succeed in their education.

UFM, located across the street from the Business Building, offers a tutoring program for youth each semester. The program will be from 4-6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays from Sept. 5-Nov. 16.

The UFM after-school program aims to support diverse learners by providing educational experiences that are equitable and accessible, connecting parents with their students' educational needs, fostering a sense of belonging, and mobilizing a volunteer network to provide support and guidance to all youth in their educational life.

A training session will be offered on how to work with youth and a background check will be required.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact erin@tryufm.org. UFM Community Learning Center is a creative educational program serving Kansas State University, Manhattan and communities across Kansas.
