'Organ Music for a Wednesday Morning' recital Aug. 23
David Pickering, professor of music, will play a recital of organ music from 11:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 23, on the historic Austin organ in All Faiths Chapel.
The organ, designated a historically important organ by the Organ Historical Society in 2011, is a landmark of organ building in the mid-20th century.
Pickering will play works by Cesar Franck, Daniel E. Gawthrop, J.J. Keeler, John Longhurst and Leroy Robertson.
The recital is free and open to the public.
