of the materials you need to apply for Undergraduate Admission on our

The following is a list of
the materials you will need to include when you apply.
- A completed K-State application. You may either apply on-line or
this form can be downloaded from the website.

An $80 non-refundable application fee must
be included with the application.
Please note, according to university policy,
the Office of Admissions will not be able to begin processing your
application until the application fee has been paid.
- English Proficiency
If you have a cumulative grade point average
(GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or above, Kansas State University can
admit you with no proof of English proficiency. Once you arrive,
you will be required to take the English Proficiency Test (EPT).
The results of the EPT will determine if you have to study full-time
intensive English or part-time high-level English, or if you are
ready to begin full-time university classes.
If you do not want to
take the EPT on arrival, then there are several ways in which you
can get a waiver from the EPT.
- Submitting a TOEFL score of 550 (paper based test) or 213 (computer
based test) with each part score being 55 (paper based) or 21(computer
based) or higher and a writing score of 5.0. The minimum internet
based TOEFL score is 80.
- Having an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with each part score being
6.0 or higher
- Having completed Composition I and II with grades of C or higher
at an accredited institution in the US.
- Having an English sub-score of 23 or higher on the ACT
- Having a verbal score of 530 or higher on the SAT
Any evidence of English proficiency must
be submitted to the Admissions Office prior to the first day of
the EPT at the beginning of the semester. Evidence submitted after
that time will not be considered.
- Official transcripts, translated into English if necessary.
- A completed Affidavit of Financial Support. Kansas State University
requires a proper and current affidavit of support from your sponsor
stating that he or she will provide $32,315 (this amount is an estimate
figure that includes all tuition/fees, room/board, books, supplies,
etc.) for each year of study at Kansas State University and a statement
of verification from the sponsor's financial establishment. The form
required by Kansas State University for this purpose is available
at: http://www.ksu.edu/admit/aff_supp.pdf
