It's Time to Talk About It

The mission of National Eating Disorders Awareness (NEDA) Week is to ultimately prevent eating disorders and body image issues while reducing the stigma surrounding eating disorders and improving access to treatment. Eating disorders are serious, life-threatening illnesses—not choices—and it's important to recognize the pressures, attitudes and behaviors that shape these disorders. Follow Darryl as he asks celebrities and experts in the cosmetics, fashion, media, and self-esteem industry the major question at hand...Does America have an unhealthy obsession with beauty? This is a film the fashion, cosmetic, and plastic surgery industries do not want you to see!

The Relationship between Exercise & Body Image: Helpful or Harmful?

Dr. Beth Fallon, Assistant Director, Department of Kinesiology will present information about exercise and body image across the population, including athletes, individuals with a 'normal' body image range, and those with bulimia and exercise dependence.
