Building History
Lafene Health Center was completed in 1960 at a cost of $543,000 and originally provided outpatient and referral services for K-State students. In 2003, Lafene Health Center relocated to the Mercy Regional Health Center located at 1105 Sunset Avenue. The new facility offers approximately the same square footage as the original but consolidates all services onto one floor, in contrast to the three floors previously used. The former Lafene Health Center on campus has since been repurposed as the English and Counseling Services building.
