How did your involvement in SHAPE help in your career decisions?

"(SHAPE) helped me to become a well-rounded, compassionate individual. (SHAPE) helped me in my presentation skills, so that I am not intimidated in my professional career." -Engineer

"I live overseas now...I always felt that we were performing a valuable service, and it is good to know that there are still people out there trying to set people straight regarding HIV and AIDS. I live...where there is a crisis brewing (as in the rest of Asia) regarding HIV. Roughly 3.1% of Korea's GDP is based in the sex industry, and there are currently 330,000 imported and domestic sex workers; I often talk with my students about the dangers of risky behavior, and as always I am thankful for the education that S.H.A.P.E. gave me."

"My involvement with SHAPE expanded my knowledge and opened my eyes to the need of primary prevention concerning both men and women regarding HIV/AIDS or sexual issues in general. During my involvement in SHAPE I knew that I wanted to be a nurse. The experiences that I had...has led me to have a strong issue in specifically, women's health care. In my opinion, young adults are in great need of sexual awareness information regarding HIV/AIDS now more than ever." -Nursing Student
