Completing the supplemental application

Before you begin your application for the scholarship(s) you have selected, please keep the following things in mind:

All Scholarship Applications

What to expect
  • Only admitted freshmen students for fall 2015 are eligible to apply
  • K-State eID is required
  • 30-60 minutes average completion time
  • Application is saveable
What you will be asked
  • Personal information
  • Education
  • Parent's education
  • College courses you have taken

Presidential

  • 3 essay questions
  • 1 page resume (maximum 1 page)

Kassebaum

  • 3 essay questions
  • 1 page resume (maximum 1 page)

Civic Leadership

  • 5 essay questions
  • 1 page resume (maximum 1 page)
  • Community Service log
  • 2 letters of recommendation that can speak to the project and community service you wrote about in your application.

Once you submit the application, an email is sent to the people you listed as recommenders. The email includes instructions for uploading a letter on your behalf.

Letters and the supplemental application are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014.

Edgerley-Franklin

  • 1 page resume (maximum 1 page)
  • Personal statement of goals (2-3 pages). Include the following:
    • Academic Accomplishments
    • Academic goals and why you want to pursue them
    • Skills you have and skills you hope to acquire
    • Why you are interested in working on research
    • Your cultural background, interactions, and its importance
    • Greatest challenges you see to the urban community and how they have been impacted or are impacting the community
  • 1 letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor.

Once you submit the application, an email is sent to the person you listed as a recommender. The email includes instructions for uploading a letter on your behalf.

The letter and application are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015.
