Dakota Baccus knows his way around the Kansas State University campus. Aside from his time as a student, he also serves as a campus tour guide, leading tomorrow's Wildcats down the path toward their future.
In his own life, Dakota also practices what he preaches. When he realized his career path was no longer aligning with his goals, he made a sharp right turn. With guidance from K-State's Career Center and support from faculty, he switched his major to political science with a pre-law career plan — right before his junior year of college.
Dakota immediately knew he made the right choice. Even though he switched majors so late in his college experience, he worked with his advisor to ensure he still graduated on time. Even better? He has already been accepted into law school, even as he finishes his time at K-State and continues to give campus tours.
Pacing matters — it's not always about how fast you're walking, but slowing down to take a minute and find your passion. That's the #WildcatWay.
