Legislative Update

The Legislature returns today after completing the first half of the 2022 legislative session on Feb. 24.

Before adjourning last week, the House Higher Education Budget Committee and the Senate Ways and Means Higher Education Subcommittee met and made first-round budget recommendations. Click to enlarge the chart below to view these recommendations.

Budget recommendations

This week the Senate Ways and Means Committee will receive the Ways and Means Higher Education Budget Subcommittee Report at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3.

The weekly Legislative Review Session scheduled for March 4 has been canceled. The next Legislative Review Session will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, March 11, via Zoom.

The Kansas Legislature will provide virtual access to committee meetings and floor action throughout the 2022 legislative session. Links to access the meetings can be found at kslegislature.org/li.
