Advisor Forum presents March Charlie Award

Submitted by Beth Stuewe

The K-State Advisor Forum announces Jennifer MacFadyen, instructor and academic advisor for the food, nutrition, dietetics and health department, has been selected for the March Charlie Award.

MacFadyen was nominated by a colleague for this award because of her willingness to take on more advisees and step up to fill a gap where an advisor was needed.

MacFadyen advises students in both the nutrition and kinesiology academic program as well as the new sports nutrition program while also teaching classes in the food, nutrition, dietetics and health department.

According to her nominator, "Jennifer did a wonderful and effective job recruiting/retaining students in those programs; with enrollment growth in both programs she advises! Her ability to address the needs of the numerous incoming students aided in the enrollment growth of the department.

"Jennifer has done a fantastic job preparing students for their futures and recruiting/retaining students for the Department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics and Health."

The K-State Advisor Forum thanks MacFadyen for the work she has done for students and her college and congratulates her on this award.

As a reminder, to nominate someone for the Charlie Award, fill out the short online form. Once your nomination is complete, it will remain an active nomination for one full year. Nominations can be completed at any time and can be submitted by anyone on campus. One award will be given out at the beginning of each month. The Advisor Forum Committee will make the decision and deliver awards.
