Vicky McAtee retiring after 32 years

Submitted by Tara Fronce

After 32 years of dedicated service at K-State, Vicky McAtee is retiring as an accounting specialist in the Division of Financial Services on Friday, March 5.

McAtee joined the Division of Financial Services in August 1988 when the department was known as the Controller's Office. Her career started as a keyboard operator II in the Data Control Office of Accounts Payable. She moved up to keyboard operator III then transferred to office assistance IV in April 1993. By January 2001, her position was reclassified to an accounting specialist. Through many staff, management and university changes, McAtee's loyalty to the university and dedication to her duties remained steadfast. She is recognized for her courtesy, amicability and friendliness. McAtee's retirement is our loss, but a well-deserved respite for her and she will be greatly missed.

The Division of Financial Services wishes McAtee all the best in her retirement. Colleagues and friends are invited to extend their good wishes by sending farewell emails or cards to vicky@k-state.edu or to the General Accounting Office, 2323 Anderson Ave., Suite 500, Manhattan, KS 66502.
