Touchstone Undergraduate Creative Writing Award

Submitted by Mawi Sonna

The Touchstone Undergraduate Creative Writing Award for K-State students is now open for submissions. Students are invited to submit their best work by Dec. 31. All majors are welcome to apply. Touchstone is K-State's student-edited literary arts magazine.

The Touchstone Undergraduate Creative Writing Award is awarded for the best short fiction, nonfiction and poetry, with the Touchstone editors making the nominations for the awards. First place in each genre receives $75, while second place receives $50.

Any K-State undergraduate may submit:
• Up to 30 pages of fiction or nonfiction.
• 10 pages of poetry.
• One to four pieces of art. We do not currently have prizes for art but would love to publish written pieces alongside visual ones. For artwork submissions, please include title, media, dimension and date of completion.

Previous first-place winners of the Touchstone Undergraduate Creative Writing Award are ineligible to submit work.

If you'd like to submit to more than one genre, please make a separate submission for each work and include the specific genre for which you are submitting. Each file submission should be in only one genre.

Further instructions on how to format submissions are available on our website at Touchstonekstate.org
