Truman Scholarship Foundation campus application open

Submitted by Kali Poenitske

The Truman Scholarship Foundation permits universities to nominate up to four students to compete nationally for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship. Kansas State University is currently seeking applicants for that opportunity and has set a campus deadline of Oct. 5.

We are seeking students who will graduate between December 2021 and August 2022 who plan careers in public service. The Truman Foundation particularly seeks individuals who aspire to lead for positive change in the governmental or nonprofit sectors.

Students interested in seeking nomination should email Jim Hohenbary, director of the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships, at jimlth@k-state.edu to obtain a copy of the campus application.

Kansas State University students have been awarded more than 30 Truman scholarships since 1980.
