Histochemical Society offers undergraduate research grants

Submitted by Joe Montgomery

The Histochemical Society's Capstone Grants program has extended its application deadline this year due to the unusual circumstances related to COVID-19 and campus closures. Undergraduate students who are interested in funding for research projects can apply for a competitive $1,000 grant. The revised deadline is June 30 for the Capstone Grant.

Winners of these competitive grants are encouraged to submit their research findings for peer review at Journal of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry for potential publication in a section reserved for Capstone winners.

A. Sally Davis, assistant professor of diagnostic medicine and pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine welcomes further inquiries, and her lab has experience helping students with the capstone program. She can be contacted by email at asally@vet.k-state.edu.
