SPARK program for reinstated students

Submitted by College of Arts and Sciences

The Second Opportunity for Academic Refocus at K-State, also known as SPARK, program is for students who earn less than a 1.0 GPA during their first semester and are reinstated to K-State.

The SPARK program will help you find academic success, stay on track for graduation, and develop skills that you can use in college and your career. The SPARK program includes enrollment in an Academic Refocus student success course with embedded academic coaching and co-curricular opportunities, intentional advising, and a student-focused event on resilience.

To participate in SPARK, you must complete the following steps:

  • Complete the SPARK application by Monday, Jan. 6, 2020. The application opens Dec. 24.
  • Attend the SPARK Orientation on Thursday, Jan. 16. Students will enroll in courses at this time.

More information and requirements can be found on the SPARK program website. We hope you consider participating in this program!
