Legislative Update
The Kansas Legislature is in the final week of the regular 2019 session. The first adjournment of the Legislature is scheduled for April 5. Legislative action through the week will focus on conference committee meetings. Bills that are agreed to by conference committees will go back to the House of Representatives and Senate for final action. Most of the focus will be on a K-12 funding plan to satisfy the Kansas Supreme Court and on the fiscal year 2020 budget.
The Office of Government Relations hosts bimonthly Legislative Updates. The final session will be on April 12. All updates are brown bag sessions at noon in the K-State Student Union's Cottonwood Room.
