Enrollment for State Employee Health Plan insurance is open

Submitted by Human Capital Services

Open enrollment for health, dental and vision insurances and for flexible spending account, health savings account, or HSAs, or health reimbursement account, or HRAs, and HealthyKids opened Oct. 1. Enrollment will run through Oct. 31 with an effective coverage start date of January 1, 2018.

This year, employees must enroll in the State Employee Health Plan even if you desire the same coverage you currently have in 2017. Failure to enroll will place you in Plan N. Health insurance in 2018 allows for employees to make a choice between several health plan options. Learn more about the 2018 health plan options and see instructions on how to enroll at the Human Capital Services — Open Enrollment webpage.

Two State Employee Health Plan informational sessions will be at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union. The 2 p.m. session will be streamed live through the Human Capital Services SEHP Livestream website.

State Employee Health Plan webinars also will be offered at various times during October. Please see the State Employee Health Plan website for more information.

Your HCS benefits team will continue to update you and provide information during the month of October. Watch your K-State email and K-State Today with more information.
