2016-2017 Student Governing Association annual newsletter

Submitted by Annie Jewell

The elected student senate of the 2016-2017 Student Governing Association finished a successful term. The SGA annual PDF newsletter details what was accomplished in the senate this past year, highlighting the Executive and Legislative Branches specifically.

Some highlights: the studentwide privilege fee will remain flat for the first time in consecutive years since 2002; $47,200 was allocated to more than 60 student organizations; the amount of student government interns was raised to 35 next year; the first universitywide Mental Wellness Week was a collaborative success; the legislative advocates program was launched to provide an opportunity for students to research and communicate with elected state officials; and much more.

Stay in touch with the newly elected 2017-2018 student senators by following @KStateSGA and @KStateSBP_SBVP on Twitter.
