Submitted by Officer Randy Myles

The K-State Police Department and Hale Library are partnering to present a series on community safety. The first meeting will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in 401B Hale Library.

Kathleen Adams, information technology consultant and security assistant in the Information Technology Assistance Center, will talk about phishing scams. This event is open to all members of the K-State community interested in learning more about phishing scams.

Participants may bring their lunch to this event. Cookies and other refreshments also will be provided by Einstein Bagels in Hale Library.

The series will focus on building awareness of public safety issues on the K-State campus and ensure campus will remain a safe learning environment for all members of the K-State community.
