Economics students to present at student research conference Friday

Kansas State University economics majors will be presenting and participating at the sixth annual Economics Scholars Program for Undergraduate Research in Dallas on Friday.

For the third year in a row, K-State students will be presenting their research projects that they have complied with the assistance of faculty members.

• Han Wang will be presenting a paper on "Determinants on Cross-Country Income Per Capita: The Role of the Farm Sector in Kansas" which she prepared with the assistance of Professor Tracy Turner based on the work being done in her public finance class.

• Remington Rebstock will present his paper on "Solving the U.S. Debt Crisis" which he prepared as his senior project in Professor Lloyd Thomas' Senior Seminar in Economics Class.

• Also, Stephanie Birdsall, Gavin Koester and Joey O'Crowley will be participating in this program as well as part of the panel of discussants who will evaluate other papers. Daniel Kuester, Roger Trenary Chair in economics, will be accompanying the students to Dallas.
