Diversity Programs Office to host summer programs
This summer, the Diversity Programs Office in the K-State College of Agriculture/K-State Research and Extension is hosting and partnering for a variety of programs, including three long-term summer programs: KSRE Summer Research Fellows Program; Project IMPACT Multicultural Academic Program Success, or MAPS; and KS-LSAMP Research Immersion: Pathways to STEM, or RiPS.

The Diversity Programs Office will also be hosting a variety of K-State Jr. MANRRS College for a Day events this summer, such as K-State Salina TRIO Upward Bound, Topeka Jr. MANRRS with Neighborhood Athletic Association, and Kansas City High Aspirations. Additionally, we will partner again for the annual Switzer/KSU Jr. MANRRS Nicodemus Educational Camp hosted over five days at K-State and in Nicodemus June 23-28. This summer's camp is hosted in partnership with the Kansas Black Farmers Association, receiving a $145,000 grant from Cargill. Each of these days will give elementary, middle school and high school students the opportunity to explore majors and careers in the agriculture industry as well as participate in hands-on activities that teach about agriculture.
