Search begins for two corporate engagement positions

The Office of the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff announces the launch of the search for two key positions to lead the new Office for Corporate Engagement and Economic Development, as announced in April:

  • Executive director of corporate engagement.
  • Associate director of corporate engagement.

Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff Marshall Stewart has appointed a committee to lead a national search for these roles.

Executive director of corporate engagement
The executive director will collaborate with university leadership to execute strategic goals, foster robust relationships with corporate partners, facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration among internal stakeholders, and act as the primary liaison between K-State and external stakeholders to promote innovation. They will utilize data and feedback to continuously refine strategies. The executive director reports directly to the senior vice president and chief of staff.

Associate director of corporate engagement
The associate director will work closely with university leadership to support strategic goals by cultivating strong relationships with corporate partners, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration and acting as a liaison between K-State and external stakeholders to promote innovation. They will also apply data and feedback to refine strategies and provide overall program support and management. The associate director of corporate engagement coordinates with the executive director of corporate engagement and reports to the senior vice president and chief of staff.

The search committee, chaired by Assistant Vice President and Director for Engagement and Outreach Tim Steffensmeier, will ensure a comprehensive and confidential process for inquiries, nominations and applications.
