Silver Key to host Boys and Girls Club with K-State baseball
The 2024-25 Silver Key Sophomore Honorary is swinging into their year of service by partnering with K-State baseball and the Boys and Girls Club to provide an afternoon of entertainment and connection with youth from the Manhattan area at the home baseball game on Friday, May 3.
About 30 boys and girls will get to join the baseball team on the field during batting practice and get a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium and practice facility, followed by a tailgate in the parking lot hosted by members of Silver Key. This is the fourth year Silver Key and K-State baseball have partnered to provide this unique experience. Previously, this engagement won the 2019 Event of the Year from Student Programs and Involvement, formerly the Center for Student Engagement.
Silver Key Sophomore Honorary exists to serve Kansas State University and the Manhattan area, to support the activities in which the student body and K-State participate, and to foster among all students a sense of community commitment.
We encourage everyone to come cheer on the Wildcats at the game versus the Kansas Jayhawks at 6 p.m. at Tointon Family Stadium.
