Senior FleishmanHillard executive to provide future-look conversation about Generative AI and the workforce

Submitted by Jason Ellis

Shelly Kessen, senior vice president and partner with FleishmanHillard, will present a seminar as the 2024 Agriculture Alumni Fellow at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in Room 1014 of Throckmorton Hall. All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.

Kessen will present "An Exploratory Look — The Vital Link: Gen AI, Gen Z and People Relations."

When it comes to Generative AI, we don't know what we don't know. But what we do know is that change is here, and it will impact our lives and professions in ways that we likely cannot imagine now. Rooted in curiosity, the session will explore the influence of Gen AI on the human experience as it relates to potential career implications and opportunities, including that of today's students and tomorrow's up-and-coming professionals.

Kessen is a leading public relations and marketing agency, and is based in Sacramento, California. Kessen earned her bachelor's degree in agricultural journalism from K-State in 1996.
