Vocalists from School of Music, Theatre, and Dance place in regional competition

Vocalists from the School of Music, Theatre and Dance competed in the West Central Regional Auditions on Nov. 3-4 at the University of Nebraska in Kearney, Nebraska. 

Students competed in up to three rounds of competition, culminating in a final round where students are ranked and awarded. K-State singers placed in the following categories:

• Freshman Classical Treble: Devlyn Jochum, first place; Addison Zeiler and Calista Stegner, third place, tied; and Dylan Dean, fourth place. 

• Sophomore Classical Treble: Sarah Keary, fourth place. Keary also placed third in Lower Division Musical Theatre Treble.

• Sophomore TBB: Jason Casey, first place. 

• Senior Classical Treble: Amaya Dungan, fourth place. 

• Upper College Musical Theatre TBB: Ethan Irons, first place. 

• Graduate Classical TBB: John Melton, first place. 

The West Central region is comprised of colleges from Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming.
