Improved payment options to better support students

Submitted by Brennan Bestwick

K-State students may now enroll in tuition installment payment plans and tuition insurance within TransAct, formerly CashNet, the university’s payment partner. When students choose to “Make a Payment” in KSIS via the Financial Account or Student Center, the updated overview page and navigation menus provide links for students to view and enroll in payment plans. Students have the option to set up auto payments, see real-time adjustments to their balances, direct payments to specific charges on their account and more.

Additionally, the opportunity to enroll in GradGuard tuition insurance is now conveniently built into the payment process. Sign-up can occur when students initiate a tuition and fees payment in KSIS. This optional coverage expands the scope of the university's refund policy by ensuring reimbursement for tuition, room and board and other fees for covered withdrawals at any time during the semester. Ahead of the fall semester, student rates were reduced to 1.1% of a student’s overall tuition and fees costs.

Cashiers and Student Accounts is committed to easing the financial burden of K-State students and continuing to find new ways to improve our payment and billing processes. For more information, contact the Cashiers office.
