Participants needed for fourth round of survey about space and emotions

Submitted by Elisabetta Canepa

More than 90 K-Staters joined the first three rounds of the ATLAS survey, developed within the Resonances project and conducted by Elisabetta Canepa and Bob Condia from the architecture department in the College of Architecture, Planning & Design at Kansas State University.

Now other participants ages 18–64 with any educational or professional background are needed to volunteer for a fourth study about architectural atmospheres. Participants will watch videos from the ATLAS database and reply to three questions about their first impressions. The self-reported evaluations will help the researchers validate visual affect-based stimuli specifically conceived to study architectural spaces. Previous participants can repeat the survey since the structure is the same, but the stimuli are different.

The survey takes approximately eight minutes to complete, plus some time to view an explanation video and comprehend the informed consent. Your collaboration is entirely voluntary, anonymous and free.

Click to access the survey. Please complete the survey by Friday, May 19.

If you have any questions regarding the survey, please contact Canepa at elisabettacanepa@k-state.edu.

This study has been reviewed by the Kansas State University Institutional Review Board and received approval No. IRB-11597.
